A woman sits with four of Harry Pointer’s pet cats (c.1880). The woman was probably Harry Pointer’s daughter Miss Myra Pointer, who would have been in her twenties when this photograph was taken. Harry Pointer used his own pet cats for many of the “Brighton Cats” series.
